I switched
to cloth for the environment and for the health benefits,
I stay with cloth for the comfort!
|
If you think cloth
pads are bulky or uncomfortable FORGET IT! Breathable
organic fabrics keep you dry and comfortable.
|
No shifting or bunching
and no adhesive means no more OUCH!
|
Why go Cloth?
One of the reasons that
you put cloth on your baby is because you know how
much softer it is for them. How about you? If you hate
disposable pads you'll love cloth. I've tried just
about every pad out there, and most didn't
pass
my
test.
They had to be comfortable,
a big must. No shifting, or twisting. They had to be
absorbant, and prevent leakage. They had to be easy to
care for, and come out of the wash wearable, NO IRONING
REQUIRED! Who has time to iron maxi pads? And if they
are made from organic fabrics then they are even better
for the planet!

It's so Confusing-Where do I start
Going Cloth can be a
bit confusing. How many pads will I need, which kind
to buy and how to care for them. Let's keep it simple. Our
pads are designed with the modern women in mind. Comfort
and style...and they work! Read on to discover how
easy cloth is. You'll find it's easier than going to
the store to buy more pads and you'll save money too.

How
many pads will I need?
Every woman's cycle varies,
but most women will need 8-12 pads per cycle. In general
if you use 8 disposable
pads....you will use 8 cloth pads. We recommend
starting with 2 regular pads (each comes with 2 extra
liners) a couple mini pads and a long pad for night time
or heavy flow. If you have more questions about
purchasing pads please drop us a line.
How do I care for my cloth pads?
Cloth pads wash up easily
in the washing machine. Used pads can be put
in a bucket or small laundry basket, or
in our soaker jar
until washing day. You can soak them in water if you
like with a little bit of eco friendly laundry soap.
When you're ready to wash them simply put them in the
washer on cold or warm wash and rince cycle. Dry
on low to med heat. It's that easy! |
Dangers of Disposables
We're all aware of the
dangers of toxins in our food, homes and work places,
but how
about your
feminine care products? Tampons have been associated
with TSS (toxic shock syndrome) and the fibers that are
used to make disposable pads often cause irritation or
allergic reactions. Cloth pads don't contain chemicals
or allergy causing fibers. |
Think about the Planet
Now how about
Mama Earth? The average women will use 10,000 pads
in her
life time. They
all end up in landfills taking a VERY long time to
decompose. Eeww! By using cloth you save trees, water,
and so on. And don't forget how soft and comfy cloth
is. |
Save Money
Cloth pads are reused
so that saves your pocket book too. The average
pads will last 3-5 years or longer depending on how
you care for them. That adds up to hundreds of
dollars saved by using cloth.
